Osparse is a rarer variant of the [[Obarse|obarse tree]]. Osparse is rare because it produces beautiful pink leaves and it takes a long time to grow, it also has a hard time reproducing because there must be a male and female plant close to each other to pollinate the seeds. It also only grows on asteroids.

Due to its rarity the tree is said to be a gem to see while traveling open space. One author named [[Frankly Beni]] famously quoted in his book “life in space” ‘the trees are a spec of peace in a region of chaos.’
