Speadzons

Speadzons are a sapient species that live on Earth. They resemble an axolotl mixed with a salamander. They are found mostly in the Amazon River, as their bodies can’t handle saltwater or cold. Speadzons are also known for being incredibly fast in the water, some breaking 65 mph. Speadzons are very beautiful with bright colors on their skin like blue, orange, yellow, pink, dark blue, and more. All these colors are the common colors, but threre is one color that is extremely rare, and being born with that color gives you royalty among the speadzons culture. This color is Pearl white, and the only one with that color is the king. The speadzons have a complex culture and live in houses in and out of the water, with babies and young always in the water until they grow legs and develop lungs along with their gills.

Speadzons look more like salamanders when they are male, with females having more of an axolotl look, with the external gills on their heads. The current king of the speadzons is Fenncase, and he lives in a palace in the deepest part of the Amazon, around 370 feet down. Although humans are prohibited from entering the Amazon, the speadzons are welcome there, because Mr. Hair views them as a peaceful species that would never harm the Amazon like humans would. While they do eat fish, they make sure to eat every bit of it, boiling and mashing bones until they are made into a paste that is used for making sandwiches. The speadzons also eat a variety of underwater and land plants, and use the plants for medical use as well.

The speadzons culture prohibits them from harming the Amazon rainforest excessively, but they are allowed to cut down mangroves for wood, and every tree they cut down they have to grow another one. Their culture also doesn’t allow them to leave the safety of speadzon city in the river. Some, of course, have disobeyed this rule, but they went on to make small families around ponds on Earth. None of these families have ever grown to the point of being called a town, though. Poachers also are a threat to these small families, as they don’t have the speadzons sovereign guard to protect them.

Speadzons grow to be around 5-6 feet tall, and they have two legs and two arms, but these come around 1 year after birth. Speadzons have an average lifespan of 100 years, but some die earlier of diseases that are only able to be cured by humans, and once Mr. Hair found this out, he started sending medicine over the wall every month. Of course, once people found out about this, some of them started spreading rumors that Mr. Hair was helping the speadzons so that he could make a massive army of them and enslave Earth.

Speadzons also have a language called Bomehto, which is very hard for English speaking humans to learn.
