Dol Mallece

Dol Mallece, also called the sword king, is an old blind swordsman who lives on Honorald. Although he is blind, he actually is known for his master level swordsmanship and his training of monks who traveled around the world. He lives by morals that everyone should be treated like the same family, not standing for racial injustice or pirate discrimination. While he does protect the town he lives in, he refuses to attack anyone first. Dol is 78 years old and realizes his old age, he doesn’t try to stop his aging and is perfectly fine with it. Instead, he focuses on training master swordsman to become better than they already are.

Dol Mallece used to be known as the greatest swordsman on Honorald, his feats included destroying an entire army with one sword sweep, and cutting through a mountain to deliver help to people on the other side.

Dol Mallece was born into a high class family in a large and prosperous town until he left at the age of 9. He refused to be a part of the cruel treatment his family was bestowing upon common people, and he left to find money to help the homeless. While away, he was stopped by a group of bandits who were on their way to sack his hometown. He knew these bandits were powerful and he knew they would kill many at his hometown, so he tried to fight them, suffering 5 sword stabs and slashes, one of them cutting through his eyes and blinding him. They left him for dead, and walking away. But as Dol was fading away he heard grunts and screams. He couldn’t see it, but the monk Gimbaj was passing by the area and saw him being beat up. Gimbaj used his Kimnagi Fu to take them out. After this, the monk took him to his village, where he was treated and recovered quite successfully. He then spent 27 years of his life training to be able to see without needing his eyes, he could listen to where even the most silent of monks were, and he could find his way around the village without needing a walking stick. Once he turned 36, he set out to find his old town. When he eventually found it, he found that his parents and the nobles of the village were all dead, killed by an uprising of rebels. Dol realized his hometown was not as peaceful as it used to be, with death and poverty around every street, it was in a true state of lawlessness. He was deeply saddened by this and he left immediately, setting out on a journey to find a peaceful town.
