Theodore Rake

Theodore Rake, more famously known as Firework man, is a former superhero and member of the Awakened Insects. He is also one of the three surviving members of the group, but he was fired from his job 19 years ago due to a mental health breakdown. This happened after the villain Cesjiq killed five of his friends, which were all members of the Awakened Insects group. The breakdown caused him to go crazy and he started seeing people in his room at night. Pretty soon he started to see people in public that reminded him of the people who were in his room at night, and he started killing those people. He was also sneaky, not using his powers in public, but instead leading the people into his house to “get an autograph” then he killed them. Firework man killed 6 people this way until he was caught with dead bodies in his fridge by Biggio Rala. When Biggio caught him, Firework man tried to kill Biggio, but Biggio just knocked him out by punching him. Ever since then he has been sentenced to life in a mental asylum until his condition improves. Firework man gained massive popularity from the public and was known as the “Killer Hero.” His actions also caused many to distrust the hero system, because many still believe that he actually killed the people on purpose.

Firework man has the power to explode things in front of him, making different colored explosions depending on his emotions. Sometimes he makes “firework” explosions if he has multiple emotions that he is fighting with. Usually his explosions are red or white, for angry and content. Firework man was a very strong hero, being one of the only two heroes who survived Cesjiq’s attack on his team. Firework man had a suit with large fireworks sticking out the back, with a black base and green stripes.

Firework man was one of the first members of the Awakened Insects. He was invited to the team by Biggio Rala, who was his friend from high school.

Firework man’s childhood was the main reason for his mental breakdown, during his childhood he was thrown out of his house multiple times, breaking his arms and legs many times. The police investigated but found no proof that he was being abused, so his parents continued throwing him out the window. To them it was a “sport” called throw the kid. Once he was large enough to defend himself, he exploded the entire house, with his parents inside. In the end he was left sitting in a dust pile that used to be his house. Soon the police found him and one officer whose name was Orabib Tetooz adopted him, he was 10 during this time. Since Orabib believed his parents abused him, he covered up the explosion as a “gas leak.” Orabib raised firework man until he was old enough to join a hero team. He joined the Awakened Insects when he was 20, and is now 50.
