Bluka

Bluka are tall, blue, sapient species that live on the moon of Urak. The bluka are found all around the middle regions as well. Bluka have a scaly type skin, making them seem reptilian. Bluka have a facial structure like that of a human but they also have a forked tongue like a snake. They also have flaps of skin that hang below the head, connecting to the neck. Bluka also have two arms and legs, but they also like to crawl around on the floor as a way of quick travel. They also have four fingers with small claws on each one, allowing them to climb trees and walls. Bluka usually lay eggs which are kept in special incubators until they hatch. Sometimes, bluka interbreed with other species, in these cases the bluka female will still lay eggs, but the hatchlings will turn out much different. Some even experience complications from this like missing limbs, skin diseases, and more. Bluka like to keep temperatures hot and humid in their houses, with large heat lamps in every room. This is because they are cold-blooded.

Bluka also shed very frequently, with the shedding happening monthly. Bluka shedding is considered a healthy display and shedding frequently helps to maintain health. Many times if a bluka has a deadly disease they will stop shedding, which helps catching life threatening diseases easy. Bluka are also vulnerable after the shedding and cannot engage in any contact with other bluka as to avoid disease, but this only lasts for about a day.
