Mountain wisemen

The mountain wisemen are a group of really old monks that live around mountains on Earth, they have trained various heroes in the arts of controlling the inner self, which makes one very powerful. Mountain wisemen are among the strongest people living on Earth, as each of them are extremely powerful. When mountian wisemen unlock their inner self they can sometimes find out about a hidden power they have, like some that can take form of mythical creatures like a large seabeast. Mountian wisemen are not easy to find, and when you do find them they will challenge you until they know you will use their training for good, only then will they train you.
