Tero
Tero is a small desert mountain planet full of human and human subspecies slaves that are forced to work from 5 AM to 9 PM. There are many jobs that the slaves do, including cooking, building, mining, and even dancing. Some slaves are made to work later in the night and some even stay up all night and sleep 6 hours maximum in the day. They aren't paid at all and it doesn't matter if they revolt because the guards will immediately shoot them if they show any signs of rebellion. There are over 3 million guards on Tero. The king of Tero is Horatio Slim, but he only lets people call him "my liege" and he has many beautiful women at his side at all times who are forced to be there. Horatio makes all of his money through his slaves and he sells all of the gems and other minerals that they mine unless he wants to use them for a project.
Being a guard on Tero is very dangerous but can also be very rewarding if they do good work. If any guard slips up at any moment and doesn't see a "worker" slacking, the guard and the worker will be thrown in the pit. The pit is a massive 12 ft. deep hole that acts as an arena for guards and slaves. The pit is full of ravenous garshu that eat anything thrown to them. Every night at 10 PM, 5 or more people are thrown into the pit and Horatio watches from a throne overlooking everything. The 5 people chosen are usually slaves, but they could be guards who didn't do good work that day. If there are more than 5 guards that did bad, all of the bad ones are thrown into the pit. Horatio not only does this for entertainment, but also to show how replaceable the slaves and guards are, as he can easily replace all that are eaten.
Guards that regularly do good work are treated better by Horatio and are given better food than the rest of the guards. Guards on Tero get free food 2 times per day, but the food they eat is quite disgusting because it is just unfinished meals from space restaurants that are shipped to Tero and thrown into a stew. The stew that isn't eaten that day is left for tomorrow where more food will be shipped to Tero and then thrown in to upkeep it. There are 150 pots in the entirety of Tero that the guards must get to within a certain time otherwise they won't get food. Guards that do good work get better meals that isn't just slop stew. They are also allowed breaks, get paid more, and get other benefits. Normal guards are paid 1 UC an hour, and the better guards are paid 3 or more an hour. Personal workers of Horatio are paid much more, ranging from 4 to even 50 or more.
