Tart urchins are a type of sea urchin that is found in the tide zone on Sevas. Tart urchins are venomous and stepping on them can send anyone to the hospital unless they have strong skin or water shoes on. Tart urchins are extremely colorful, their bodies are speckled with at least 20 different colors. Tart urchins also have a shine to them, making their colors stand out even more in sunlight.

Tart urchins are named for their tart flavor when they are eaten. This makes them completely undesirable by many but their meat is still used in some dishes. Tart urchins eat plants underwater, and they are eaten by many larger fish and animals like the sea oxe.
