Sham

Sham is a wise UU captain who is 120 years old, he has a staff made of bamboo and he uses it to walk around. Sham is not as powerful as he used to be, but he is still as strong as a bear as he beat one in a wrestle on Earth 1 year ago. Sham is also good friends with Waxy Meyer, because they are both old, but they also have a lot in common. Sham leads a group of 80 very powerful UU soldiers, they even outmatch some UU captains in skill, they all also think of him as a father figure, and each of them were cast out from society before he found them. Sham also fought for his soldiers because he had a few disagreements with Gard Ipoi. Gard Ipoi thought no former criminals should ever become UU soldiers, but almost all of Sham’s soldiers were already former criminals. Eventually Gard Ipoi just let Sham have whatever soldiers he wanted, claiming that “eventually they’ll turn on you”. All of Sham’s soldiers have gone on individual training to get better while still on Sham’s ship, they are all determined to protect Sham from any harm, so that motivates them to get better.  

Sham used to be a Jamine miner, where he harvested bone marrow and brain tissues from floating Wudds, and he made a living doing that for 30 years, while he did this he met his future lieutenant English Binglish. Sham left Jamine retiring at 55, but he saw a poster for new UU soldiers, and he figured he’d apply. The UU was not very approving of letting a 55-year-old human in to be a UU soldier, so they told him to go to the server room, where he could work with computers, but he refused. Eventually they let him in to be a soldier, but he was to go through 1 year of training, once he was done he was quite skilled with his staff, and he became a UU soldier. Sham then went on to fight pirates around the middle regions, becoming a UU hero, and he was upgraded to a lieutenant, where he showed extreme military IQ from his long studies late at night. Soon he became a UU captain, and that was 40 years ago, in 2301. After becoming captain, he sought out his old friend English Binglish, and then he looked for criminals discarded by society that each had terrible things happen to them. Sham has been approached with higher salaries, but he always turns them down, as he just wants to help people, not for money.
